Care counselling: Enabling ventilated children to go home

Children being ventilated via a cannula in the windpipe or by a face mask do not have to be cared for in hospital. The transition home and everyday life go smoothly, when parents and caregivers are well prepared. The care counselling service at Children’s Hospital Zurich takes on this demanding task. It also supports parents with critically ill premature and newborn babies in neonatology.

Stiftung Chance finances the care counselling service for children with chronic respiratory support and for newborns in neonatology.
